Sharon and Randi: The Elephant Show
Tobin welcomes Sharon Hampson and her daughter Randi to the show. Sharon is a member of the family-friendly entertainment group, Sharon, Lois, and Bram. We talk to both of them about forming the trio, its success in Canada and abroad, the passing of Lois Lilienstein, and the impact they had on acts like Splash n Boots, Jeremy Fisher, and others.

Sharon Hampson was born in Toronto. Sharon began her career as a folksinger in Toronto as a teenager, singing in coffeehouses and hootenannies across Canada and the United States. Married to Joe Hampson, a member of Canada’s “The Travellers”, they have two children Randi and Geoff. She was instrumental in founding Canada’s innovative folk-artist program, Mariposa In the Schools. Sharon, one of the founders of Willow Breast Cancer Support Canada, is a three-time breast cancer survivor and public speaker addressing issues relating to breast cancer as well as speaking about the importance of music for children and their families. She is also the recipient of the YWCA 2007 “Woman of Distinction Award” in the area of Health.
Randi is her daughter who helps run Sharon, Lois, and Bram and helps with performances.
