• Cathy Jones

       In this weeks episode, Tobin is joined by the hilarious, Cathy Jones from This Hour Has 22 Minutes.  Cathy talks about getting into comedy with the help of her brother,  Andy and how that lead her to being on CODCO and The Wonderful Grand Band which eventually  lead to herself and Mary creating This Hour Has 22 Minutes. 

      Cathy also explains her relationship with Mary Walsh, and how she came up with the characters she played and we have a conversation about introverts and extroverts.  It's a fun time had by all, just be aware,  there may be swearing. 

  • Rick Mercer

       In this weeks episode of Tobin Tonight, Tobin chats with  a 25 Gemini Award winner, A man who was appointed an officer in the Order of Canada and inducted into the Canadian Disability Hall of Fame. Oh and it's all one person, who is also a fellow Newfoundlander born in the same month as this host, THAT's THE TAKE AWAY here.

      Rick Mercer  joings the show to talk about  his career from 22 Minutes to Talking to Americans to the Rick Mercer Report.  Rick opens up about his relationship with the late Gord Downey, what he plans on doing after the Rick Mercer Report ends in April and what he enjoyed about the show.  He also gives a funny story on how an American President  would not due press with CBC due to his show,  or SO HE WAS TOLD, it's a great story.  So Tune In. 

  • Jeremy Hotz

        In Episode 21, Tobin welcomes a MISERABLE Guest in Jeremy Hotz.  Jeremy is a  Canadian great in the world of Comedy. If you ever watched Just For Laughs you may have seen his act. He started in his hometown of Ottawa and has been on Letterman and Leno.  

        Jeremy Hotz discusses his career in comedy, his act and other projects he was involved in.  So sit back and be miserable with us. 

  • Jay Malone

        In Episode 20, Tobin talks to Kentville Comedian and Writer,  Jay Malone. Jay talks about his career  in stand up, and how it started on a dare back in university. That dare  that led him to finding his way to Just For Laughs and eventually to L.A. 

       We also talk to Jay about his other passions such as writing children's book and how that all came to be. He also talks about one book he wrote with a character the world knows all to well about. It's NOT Donald Duck!

  • Mark Bennett

         In this episode of Tobin tonight, Tobin welcomes an old family friend (of his brothers), okay okay I like the guy too.  Tobin chats with fellow Newfoundlander and comedian Mark Bennett Mark has performed on Just for Laughs and now resides in Toronto where he runs his own podcast called, I Said Shut Up which he disccuses on the show.   

        Mark also shares his wisdom about  comedy, how he got started,  the experience of crowd riffing and bombing on stage, so if you enjoy a funny interview or newfoundlanders having a chat then you get the best of both worlds here. 

  • Colin Mochrie

       In this episode of Tobin Tonight, Tobin chats with Canadian Icon and Improv Genuis, Colin Mochrie about his journey into comedy, his friendship with fellow Whose Line cast mate, Ryan Stiles and how that lead him to his career on Whose Line and meeting his wife.

      Colin also opens up about supporting his daughter's decision to be transgender and what he has learned from the process.  Will Tobin be nervous interview one of his favorite Canadians? Check out the episode to find out.

  • Mark Critch

     In this weeks episode of Tobin Tonight, we welcome our first comedian to the show.  This Hour Has 22 Minutes cast member and writer Mark Critch joins us to talk about how he got into comedy and how it landed him on the show that launched his career and many others from Newfoundland. 

       Mark also talks about his impressions including Justin Trudeau and Donald Trump and interviewing Trudeau as a younger version of Trudeau himself.  He also talk about his twitter feud with Scott Baio and the importance of always being up front and honest.
